Position Overview:
Working as a team with other Legal Administrative Assistant (LAA) team members, the LAA is responsible for providing a broad range of administrative support to attorneys and legal staff in our Financial Services group. We want to meet you if you have transactional LAA experience or a strong administrative assistant background, to further explore this great career opportunity.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist attorneys with document preparation including drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents.
• Maintain client files; open and close files. Assist in processing conflicts searches and process client intake forms.
• Prepare, edit and manage correspondence, memos and reports.
• Maintain attorney calendars, including scheduling court dates, client meetings and filing deadlines.
• Assist in the billing process by entering attorney time and coordinating bills with the accounting team.
• Prepare attorney expense claims.
• Other related and administrative duties as assigned.
Candidates We Seek Have:
• Prior experience as a legal administrative assistant or administrative assistant, preferable in a legal setting.
• Great organization skills and attention to detail.
• Advanced technical skills.
• Drive, creativity and a professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
• High School diploma required; college degree preferred.
